2014年に開催予定となっていた『SHERLOCK/シャーロック』のオフィシャル・コンベンション「SHERLOCKED」が、2015年に延期されることが公式Facebookで発表されました。

As fans ourselves we totally understand the frustration some of you are having on here! I want everyone to know we are still working very hard on a date that works for as many of the main cast of the show to attend as possible! This has been one of the hardest tasks we have ever had to deal with and we now understand how difficult it must be to film the actual tv show as so many of the main cast are incredibly busy and popular! We just wanted to let you all know that we really do care and we want to deliver the most incredible event we can and that is why things are taking a bit more time that we originally anticipated.

Having said all that, we do appear to be getting somewhere with guest availability now and so hopefully things should start to move forward soon! I also accept that communication is very important and that has not been the best so far. There are always going to be things that I can't discuss in public, for a whole host of reasons. However, starting today with this post I will come on here and give you all a weekly update every Thursday with how things are going! It may be that I'm on here more if something exciting happens, but at a minimum you can expect to hear from me on a Thursday with some information as to what's been going on! I will also endeavour to answer any questions I can!

Again, thank you SO much for your patience and support. Going forwards I will ensure that communication is kept up and even more importantly, I hope to have some concrete news on the event in the not too distant future.

プロダクションHeartswood Filmsと共にコンベンションの運営を手掛けるMassive EventsのMark A Woollardによると、参加キャストの都合がつかないことが大きな原因のようです。コンベンションは3日間に渡って開かれる予定で、開催側としてはそれなりのものを提供したいと思っているとのこと。※この発表をしたMarkさんはマーク・ゲイティス氏ではなく、Massive EventsのMark A Woollardさんです。

また、ファンとコミュニケーションを取ることが重要だと考えているので、これから毎週木曜日にAdamが公式FB上でイベントの進捗に関して週刊レポートを報告すること、可能な限りの質問に答えることも述べられています。

そして開催時期に関して、「せめて日程だけでも早めに教えてもらえないと、UK国外のファンは色々と調整・準備が必要なのに…」というファンのコメントを受けて、UKイベントの開催予定時期は“sometime in the first part of 2015”であると回答しました。
